After The Parade
A women pauses for a respite, calm both outwardly and inwardly, after the day’s events. The paper lotus flower cupped in her hand suggest that she has partaken in one of Falun Dafa’s many parades. Such events seek to share with spectators beauty and grace, and raise awareness of rights violations in China. In recent years many Chinese followers of Falun Dafa have returned to their cultural roots. The vase at left displays the three Chinese characters “truth,” “compassion,” and “tolerance.”
